Catherine + Bill 03.08.08

Well, it is March in the northeast and the weather can sometimes be uncooperative. Catherine and Bill’s center city Philadelphia wedding saw a little bit of everything, from torrential rains, thunder and lightning, 40 mile an hour winds and in the end a little peep of sunshine. The exciting and unpredictable weather did not deter the warm and loving spirit of their wedding day and the couple went ahead with their plans for some center city couple pictures prior to their wedding. Catherine wore a stunning blush color gown by Lazaro. The gowns sash looked more like jewelry, so much so that I used it as a backdrop for their rings. I loved the festive striped boots that she wore for her pictures around town. One of out first stops around center city was their favorite coffee shop, La Colombe. They took a few minutes to share a cup of their favorite brew. Their ceremony was at the most beautiful Saint Patrick’s Church in Philadelphia. On the way to their reception at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia, Catherine and Bill stopped off at their Philadelphia row home for a few quick pictures since the rain finally subsided! I truly believe that a wedding is not about the weather, it’s about the love.

Kristina + Peter 03.02.08 (Part 2)

As promised, here are a few more images from the ceremony and reception of Kristina and Peters wedding. Their ceremony was at Saint Lucy’s Church in Newark, NJ. A very historic church, it served as a beautiful backdrop for their ceremony! Peter got teary-eyed when he saw Kristina for the first time coming down the aisle. Their reception was held at the Westmount Country Club in West Patterson, NJ. I loved their centerpieces of hanging orchids.

WPJA Photo Contest Winning Image

The results for the WPJA Q4 2007 photo contest have just been announced and an image I entered from Jennifer + Nicks New Years Eve Wedding at the Pleasantdale Château won in the Reception category. This marked my 5th win in 2007 in this prestigious competition. The Wedding Photojournalists Association is a professional organization composed of wedding photojournalists from around the world. I feel incredibly honored to have placed among some of the best photojournalists around the world.

Kristina + Peter 03.02.08 (Part 1)

It’s been two months since I photographed my last wedding, my longest gap in 3 years! I was so ready and Kristina and Peter gave me such a truly amazing event to document! There was so much “eye candy” for my camera I really have to do two posts to show you everything. Tomorrow I’ll put up some of their ceremony and reception pictures. Let me just say Kristina had some amazing details. Her Atelier Aimee gown was a true work of art! She combined it with 5″ Christian Louboutin shoes! My hats off to any woman that can walk in 5″ heals and Kristina did so with such grace and ease. She had 2 beautiful head pieces custom made by Leah C. Couture Millinery and lets not forget the Prada bag! I want to go shopping with Kristina! Following their ceremony the couple went to Lambert Castle where the light is always perfect for artful images. Check back tomorrow where I’ll share a little of their ceremony and reception which was equally beautiful!

Amanda + Dan on Bride’s Cafe…. Twice!!!

How exciting! Floral designer Janie Medley of The Bride’s Cafe has a 2 part feature of one of my “FAV” weddings on her gorgeous blog today!!! The wedding of Amanda and Dan at Bartram’s Gardens in Philadelphia was featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Elegant Bride Magazine. The beautiful floral creations were all designed by Donna O’Brien of Beautiful Blooms in Philadelphia. It’s always a treat to work with Donna as there is always tons of “eye candy” for me to photograph. Check out Amanda and Dan’s Wedding Part 1 and Amanda and Dan’s Wedding Part 2
