Black & white photography is what drew me to the profession in the beginning. Its timeless appeal, its purity and simplicity are best able to capture the story and emotion of the moment. As a seasoned wedding photographer, I understand that color is an important part of documenting a wedding. About 35 to 40% of my delivered wedding images are black & white. In the days of film, I spent hours in the dark room processing my black & white wedding images – I now spend my time “developing” my digital B&W images at my computer. And I love it. My digital black & white images possess a full tonal range; from the blackest of black, the purest of whites and everything in between, and I never forget the grain, or the emotion.
