I was excited to be back photographing another wedding at Philadelphia’s Union League with wedding planner Gina Sole overseeing all the days festivities. I knew I was going to have a wonderful day when I saw Caitlin and her bridesmaids Christian Louboutin gold shoes all lined up in a row! It was definitely going to be a “fashionista” wedding. Andrew prepared for his big day with his groomsman and then had a free moment to write his future bride a note from the heart. In another room in the Union League Caitlin donned her beautiful lace Monique Lhuillier gown with a tulle over-skirt. Gina Sole was on hand to tie the perfect bow for Caitlin’s skirt! The couple had a “first see” on the stairs of the Union League. They decided to do some romantic portraits prior to their wedding ceremony so they would not miss a minute of their very special party!
Bonnet Island Wedding – Erika + Richard 10.01.10 – Part 4
Guests were treated to a cocktail hour on the back porch of Bonnet Island Estate. I love the punch in the jars! Kathy Warden of Table Art designed the lovely place card table. Try as she may she could not keep the candles lit with the blowing winds. The calligraphic rock were just so sweet. With the setting sun, the orchid and driftwood table decor by Table Art and the magnificent lighting by Eventions Productions the ballroom at Bonnet Island was just picture perfect. After a very romantic first dance, Erika and Richard a slide show of their formative years with their guests. It had the couple in stitches!

From her window in the bridal suite, Erika and her bridal party watched the guests arrive for her wedding ceremony in the boathouse of Bonnet Island Estate. Right before their ceremony the clouds parted and the sun peaked out, but as you can see from the photos, it did not stop the wind. The boathouse at Bonnet Island is one of most charming locations for a seaside wedding. Table Art and Styled Creative added candles and a wreath but that is all that is really needed. The warm glow of sunset shined through the boat house doors during Erika and Richards ceremony, adding to the beautiful and charm of their vows.

The wind of the passing Nor’easter were gusting up to 40 miles per hour but that did not deter Erika and Richard from doing their couple portraits on the beautiful grounds of Bonnet Island Estate. A few stray hairs were reminders of their windswept wedding day. I used the buildings a bit to block us from those eastern winds. Beka Rendell of Styled Creative was on hand to keep things from blowing away and she had been with Erika every step of the way planning her day. Kathy Warden of Table Art did the beautiful boots and bouquets. Wait until you see her fabulous work in the reception. Stay tuned!
Bonnet Island Wedding – Erika + Richard 10.01.10(Part1)
Everyone was a little nervous about the weather on Erika and Richards wedding. A Nor’easter was passing up the coast and the winds were gusting 40 mph+. Our couple was not going to let a little wind stop them and they were game for some couple portraits prior to their wedding. It’s always such a pleasure to be back at Bonnet Island Estate. Erika and Richard prepared at the Estate. I adored her pair of black lace Manolo Blahnik shoes. Claudia Seyler was there to do everyone’s hair and makeup. I loved Erika’s up-do with the charming gemed hairpiece. The couple met beforehand for some romantic portraits on the grounds of Bonnet Island.
You just have to love all the romantic signage at Bonnet Island. Everytime I’m there I find a new darling one!
