Jennifer + Michael 07-10-10 – The Preperations
The day started out with a little rain, but we had high hopes that it would stop for our pictures around the city of Philadelphia. Jennifer and Michaels wedding was held at the very grand Hyatt at the Bellevue in downtown Philadelphia. The couple were the same height and Jennifer found the most beautiful pair of ballerina slippers by Aruna Seth of London! Just stunning! Her Vineyard Collection gown by Priscilla of Boston gave her the 40’s movie starlet look she was going for. Check out the veil with the sweet flowers. Her mother made the matching flowers for her hair that would match her veil. The ever so talented Claudia Seyler did a beautiful job with Jennifer’s hair and makeup. When Jennifer and Michael went to see each other for their first revel Jennifer brought along a little liberty bell for their first kiss. Philadelphia is a city dear to their hearts. Michael is actually part of the coaching support staff for the Philadelphia Eagles, so you know they have allot of Philadelphia pride. Also wonderful to work with again was wedding planner Gina Sole. You will see more of her beautiful work later!
Portugal: Porto, the Algarve & LisbonMay 17, 2020 – May 26, 2020
Well, it’s here! Our 2020 tour of Portugal. This will be my first “private tour with GoAhead and I couldn’t be more excited. What a private tour means is that the tour will be limited to only those who are members of the Art of Wander. One of the benefits is we can keep the group small. All I need is for 14 members to sign up for the tour to make it happen. If I don’t get 14 I will have to cancel this tour and have us join a larger group of 38. Trust me, I would much prefer the smaller group. The trip dates are May 17, 2020 – May 26, 2020. I decided to do the trip in May because temperatures can be exceedingly hot in the summer in Europe. Paris has reached 109 degrees at times. So we can enjoy visits the many beautiful cities of Portugal I thought it best to do it in Springtime. To hold your spot on the tour requires a $350 deposit. The cost of the tour will be $3,143 and there is a $440 single supplement for single rooms. PORt_2019_US_DBD
Our meeting on Saturday, August 3rd will be to answer questions about the tour and for those of you who wish to travel with us you will be able to complete the reservation for and to leave your deposit. If I receive deposits from 14 travelers the trip will be on and I will submit your reservation form. You can download the form here: Groups Travel Reservation Form_US_With Payment Info_032917 (1)
For those of you who want to sign up for the tour but are unable to join us on August 3rd you can mail the for to me at Marie Labbancz, 24 Chadwick Court, Robbinsville, NJ 08691. Your credit card will not be charged and I will not be submitting the forms to GoAhead unless we have 14 member sign up. I will have to cancel this private tour and most likely set it us as a large tour open to others. The larger group would be for 38 people. (Not as fun) Let’s hope we get the 14. You can email me at afoodie2@optonline with any questions. Please note, your credit card will not be charged unless we get the 14 travelers for a group tour.

Lavender and Claire Pettibone
While shopping at friend Donna O’Brien’s Beautiful Blooms Boutique last year I had a vision! She carries a line of locally grown lavender from a farm near Doylestown, PA. I wanted to do an ethereal bohemian fashion shoot in the lavender field at sunset. With a little help from my friends my vision came true. The shoot took place at the gorgeous Carousel Lavender Farms. Even Martha Stewart Magazine did a soot there, so I’m in good company! Nicole Bridal of Jenkintown, PA provided the beautiful Claire Pettibone gowns. I knew a bohemian theme could only be Claire Pettibone and Nicole Bridal is the only salon to carry the line in PA or NJ, lucky me. Claudia Seyler did such a perfect job capturing that “boho” look. It was everything I envisioned. Finishing off the team was Beautiful Blooms. I will have a series of stunning bouquets, lavender and otherwise, perfect for a Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding. There is so much more to this shoot, including flower girl inspirations. I will be sharing more throughout the year!
Caitlin + Sam 06.24.10 – Part 2
Well I admit, it’s my first time photographing a couple with Sasquatch! How romantic! Bear Creak Mountain Resort was full of rustic charm. After some couple pictures Caitlin when and changed into her “party dress”. A beautiful Vineyard Collection by Priscilla of Boston. What a great swing it had for dancing. And check out her adorable dancing shoes. It’s always good to have advice and Caitlin had her 3rd grade class provide advice for how to be a good husband and a good wife! Some of her guests really knew how to romantically utilize a chocolate fountain. Yumm!
