Capitale is such a striking location for a wedding. A former bank, it’s grand beautifully light rotunda is such a beautiful backdrop. Flowers By Reuven did a striking chuppah for the ceremony. Wait until you see the reception décor and lighting.

This June has been one of the wettest on record in the northeast. Wetter than Seattle I believe and just second to the all time record. Most weeks it rained Monday through Friday only to clear up in the weekend. YEAH! Jamie and Arnold were not so lucky. It rained on their wedding day. Luckily they were in NYC were there are always places to fend off the weather. We had planned to go to many places around town but with a beautiful Monique Lhuillier ball gown we did not want to get it wet before the ceremony. Fortunately we were near New York City Hall. What a fabulous place to shoot in the rain. There are wonderful arches to keep everyone dry but beautiful natural light for pictures. Capitale also has a wonderful arch were we were able to photograph the bridal party. Loved the bridesmaids’ dresses by Two Birds Bridesmaid. Very Unique! Check back for their gorgeous ceremony at Capitale!

Well, talk about the antithesis of a “beach” wedding! The very next weekend I photographed a very grand and opulent New York City wedding at Capitale. I knew it was going to be a most remarkable affair. Jamie is a jewelry designer and the couple own Max and Chloe. Some of the most beautiful jewelry ever! Check it out. To start off, you know I fell in love with Jamie’s metalic Christian Louboutin shoes. WOW! Shoes that great need to be paired with a very grand Monique Lhuillier ball gown. The day ran ever so smoothly with the guidance of event planner Adrienne Colosimo of Bespoke Affairs. It was my first time working with her and it was a pleasure. Jamie and Arnold decided to do some couple pictures around town prior to their ceremony. Check out the beautiful monogram designed by Jamie. It was incorporated into the invitations, billboard and menus. It will be wonderful for all their future stationary! Check back for more of this beautiful NYC affair!
This was the most perfect artwork for the bridal preperation room!

And so the conclusion of my beautiful wedding in Cape May. The cocktail hour was held outdoors on the grounds of Congress Hall and the laughing gulls had the last laugh when they tried to partake in some of the hors d’oeuvres. I just love the ballroom of Congress Hall. It has this marvelous checkerboard painted floor. Catherine followed the black & white theme with her table décor. I must admit, it’s a real treat to photograph a beach wedding. I want all you beach brides to call me so I can have another day at the beach!

OK, so I confess, I’m a beach bum. I just love the beach and I just don’t get enough beach weddings to photograph. I had to share these fun portraits on the beautiful beach at Cape May. It was “preseason” so we even had an unused lifeguard stand to use.
