What a glorious day for a wedding ceremony on the beach! Blue skies, not to windy and a perfect 80 degrees! Catherine and Michael had planned for a wedding barefoot on the sand and they got it. I loved the beautiful white flags flapping in the wind. What a great idea. Check back for some fun beach portraits!
Catherine + Michael 06.06.09 (Part 1)
Well, I finally had my day at the beach, and there is no better beach in New Jersey than picturesque Cape May! I was looking forward to my wedding at Congress Hall in Cape May and the weather could not have been more perfect. I knew I was going to have great details to photograph when I arrived and saw Catherine’s amazing Amsale gown and feathery Manolo Blahnik shoes. You can’t go wrong with that pair! As a wedding gift, Michael presented Catherine with a Louis Vuitton bag. She was just so thrilled. Her gift to Michael was a beautiful David Yurman 925 tag necklace. Catherine’s mother gave her garter from her own wedding and her grandmother blue handkerchief. I loved Catherine’s bridal headpiece by Sara Gabriel. Perfect for a beach wedding! Check back for Catherine and Michael’s most beautiful ceremony on the beach and barefoot in the sand!
Rose + Chris 05.30.09 (Part 3)
Rose needed to rest let leg after the ceremony so she started using crutches. It did not deter her from taking more romantic couple portraits with Chris around Aldie Mansion and dancing the night away. Her bridesmaids had the great idea of placing her wedding shoes on her cake table so all her guests could admire the beautiful shoes she never got to wear. The couple’s guest tables were named with titles of some of the couples favorite songs as Chris is a musician with his own band! Guests were also treated to a really fun photo booth where they could put their pictures and well wishes in an album for the couple. They couple were off to Hawaii for their honeymoon. I wonder if Rose planned on taking any surfing lessons.
Rose + Chris 05.30.09 (Part 2)
Rose may have broken her leg but at least she had a perfect sunny spring day for her garden ceremony at Aldie Mansion. With the help of her father and husband she was able to make it up and down the aisle. The mother in me kept on worrying, but she was just fine!!! As you can see her wedding was picture perfect in spite of the bad break! Check out the adorable wedding ducks Rose put in the fountain at Aldie. Too cute! Stay tuned for their very fun reception!
Rose + Chris 05.30.09 (Part 1)
2009 marks my 10th year photographing wedding. Of the hundreds and hundreds of weddings I have photographed this incident was a first for me. My beautiful bride, Rose, broke her leg the day before her wedding! I always tell my brides that something will not go as planned with their wedding and they should take it in stride but this was quite excessive. Rose had planned for her wedding at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA for over a year. She said she purchased her stellar Giuseppe Zanotti shoes a year ago and had been waiting ever since to wear them. That was not going to happen! Thank goodness she also had special “wedding sneakers” made by a friend. Check back this week for their beautiful ceremony and reception.
