You all know about my bridal shoe fetish. Stay tuned next week for the story behind this unique shoe!
Susan + Tony
Next year I will be photographing Susan and Tonys wedding at Mallard Island Yacht Club down at Long Beach Island, NJ. The couple obviously has a strong appreciation for the arts as they chose to do their engagement portraits at The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. It’s one of my favorite locations for portraits and it’s only a 10 minute drive from my home! There are so many imaginative areas for diverse portraits I do get carried away. If all the foliage and sculptures were not enough, a friendly peacock decided to get in the act. He did not budge from his perch when the couple went near. I hope their wedding day is as beautiful as the perfect May morning we had!
Catherine +Jesse 05.24.09
I realize I’m getting a bit behind in my blogging, with wedding and portraits to photograph and trying to get in some summer fun. Cat and Jesse had a beautiful garden wedding in Long Island, NY. The weather channel had reported possible rain but they were blessed with only a few clouds. Jesse arrived in his “little yellow Corvette”. As a photojournalist, I’m sometimes asked if I do formal family portraits. I thought I’d share with you all a HUGE family portrait requested by the couple. We got it posed in no time al all!
Fun Times with Zac!
It’s been awhile since I’ve shared any photos of my most wonderful grandson Zac. We are planning a awesome vacation in Italy and Sicily this coming August, so you will all get to see him again. Last week we took a little tour of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. I live in the New York area yet I have never done the tour. Zac was totally fascinated with the abandon Train Terminal near our boat dock for the tour. On the way home I suggested he go lay on the tracks. We both love the image. It’s perfect 13 year old humor! He thought I should share it with you!
Connie + Vincent
As I said, last week I had 2 engagement sessions in Central Park. Connie and Vincent wanted more of a pre-wedding portrait session. The pair are getting married in Hong Kong later this Summer and they wanted some portraits in NYC to share with family and friends at their wedding. We started out in Central Park. Connie and Vincent even took a little boat ride near the Boat House in Central Park. We then went to Times Square at high noon. Not my favorite time of day for portraits but what fun we had. We ran into the iconic “Naked Cowboy“, a first for me.
