Check out this ghoulish pair that I found hanging on a tree next to my home. I guess my neighbor thought it would help couples find my studio! Yikes! Note to brides: Yes, you can be too thin. My taste in the macabre runs a bit more “cutesy”. Check out my sweet little mummy that welcomes my “trick or treaters” every year! Happy Halloween everyone! GIVE ME CANDY!!!!!
Jessica + Jason 10-03-08 (The Portraits)
As a wedding photographer of over 6 years Jessica knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding portraits. Relaxed and casual, she wanted her images to show all the fun, romance and playfulness of their relationship and like most photographers Jessica worries about how she looks in a photo. Because of all these factors Jes and Jason decided to meet at Fonthill Castle before all the family and friends arrived for some “romantic” time alone before all the festivities of the day. I really think their portraits reflect this relaxed time, fun and in love! Stay tuned for more!
I always try to do a “normal” portrait for mom and dad
Jessica + Jason 10-03-08 (Part 1)
Well, the big day finally arrived for “our” Jessica. As some of you may know, Jessica has been a photographer for Marie Labbancz Photography for over 6 years. From the very beginning I’ve seen Jessica’s love of “all things wedding”! I remember she would “collect” little things like favorite place cards and such, planning for her eventual wedding. With all that planning, Jessica and Jasons charming country wedding at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA was so very special. I’m going to have to do a multi-edition to show everything. When I arrived at her door I almost did not recognize her. Jessica was transformed into a retro sophisticated woman with a perfect custom birdcage veil by milliner, Holly Slayton of Artikal. I knew for a long time about her perfect Legends by Romona Keveza gown which was so perfectly fitted by Suky Occasions. Jessica made all her stationary for her wedding. Her theme was black & white polka dot and green. I have the invitation here and will share all the polka dot stationary for the reception later! Stay tuned for the couple portraits!
Check you Jessicas amazing wedding shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti, just stunning and with 3 inch heals. Perfect for all you “tall” brides! She wore vintage marcasite jewelry. A true retro fashionista!
Jessica and Jason exchanged wedding gifts prior to seeing each other on their wedding day. Jill and I were with Jessica and Megan photographed Jason. Jessica gave Jason a copy of “Guess How Much I Love You”. Jessica said it’s one of Jasons favorite “bedtime stories”. AHHHHH!
Jessica and Jason seeing each other for the first time at Fonthill Castle!
Jessica says “Come back for Part 2 of the story!”
Mary + Dan 09-27-08
Two weeks in a row I photographed the sisters of former brides. Mary’s wedding was a first for me. She is the “baby” of 3 sisters and I photographed both her sisters’ weddings over 5 years ago. I’ve never photographed ALL the siblings in a family before so this was such an honor! It was so wonderful to see everyone again and see how their family has grown. Kara and Patty are both moms now and their parents are totally enjoying being grandparents. Check out the beautiful flower girls, all nieces of Mary. All 3 sisters’ had TOTALLY different weddings. Kara had a formal NYC affair and Patty’s was held at the family’s country club. Mary wanted a very country affair in a tent at the “oh so beautiful” Willowwood Arboretum in Far Hills NJ. My hats off to Dan! He gets my award of the best dance “dipper” of the year. Every time he “dipped” Mary it was in perfect orientation to my camera. Thanks Dan, I’m only as good as the dipper!!
The place cards were flashlights so guests would not have a peoblem finding their cars at night. Very clever!
Mary warned Dan to be good, but then she was not good. Dan gave her a Chocolate kiss anyway!
Hello Hunter
I wanted to give a big “shout out” to little Hunter. He made his arrival into the world a few weeks ago at a very healthy 8 pounds 13 ounces! Hunter is the first grandchild of my friend (hair and makeup artist extraordinaire), Claudia Seyler. Finally I’m not the only young grandma out there! I’m sure Claudia will taking Hunter on the first leg of his “Grand Tour” in no time at all. I thought it would be fun to take a few newborn pictures of Hunter. I’m always gushing over the adorable newborn pictures I see on the internet. They make it look so easy. Well, as Claudia and I found out, newborn pictures are hard work. The models we shoot in our editorial shoots are so easy and they only flail when we want them to! I must say I have a new found respect for all you talented baby photographers out there that make it look so EASY! Claudia tells me that Hunter fell asleep 5 minutes after I left. I think I could have used a nap also!
