One of the most magical venues for a wedding in New Jersey is Rat’s Restaurant on the Grounds for Sculpture. It’s inspiration comes from the Children’s book The Wind and the Willows.  The food and wine here is just fabulous and you even have the added feature of ducks at your cocktail hour. After dinner Devon changed into a short little Monique Lhuillier to dance the night away! Check out that amazing cake by Pink Cake Box. It’s all hand made sugar flowers! WOW! Devon and Kevin certainly knew beautiful locations for wedding portraits. We now arrived at Rat’s Restaurant on the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Once the New Jersey State Fairgrounds it’s been transformed into one of the most magical sculpture gardens om the country by J. Seward Johnson. When you first enter you are greeted by a replica of Monet’s Bridge. Devon and Kevin – so cute that their names rhyme, but maybe that’s just me! The first time I saw Devon on her wedding day was when she arrived on the Princeton University Campus with her dad. Needless to say, I was breathless when I saw her blush color lacy Monique Lhuillier gown!  The chapel is just so grand and it was wonderful being back there for one of my yearly Princeton alumni weddings. Devon and Kevin left enough time for a relaxed receiving line after their wedding to meet and great all their guests! It was my first time at The Reeds and it was such a lovely location for a Jersey Shore wedding. Kara and Boo carried through their theme of a “white wedding” at the reception, in fact Boo even changed into a white dinner jacket. So chic! I loved the personalized pillows made by the brides mother. They will always have a reminder of their day at home. A perfect ending to their wedding day was a vibrant sunset.
