I thought I would revisit some of my favorite New Jersey venues this winter. I know I do a lot of weddings in Philadelphia but New Jersey has many grand venues that I love working at. The beautiful Tudor mansion, The Pleasantdale Château is just stunning. Beautiful lush grounds and the mansion has been featured in many movies and photo shoots. No wonder why!
As part of my winter hiatus I though I would share some informational posts. Today I’m going to talk about matted wedding albums. In a matted album the individual photographs are mounted on the page and there is a mat around them. The image is then coated in an archival protective coating. As you can see, a matted album can be very classic yet still be personalized to have a modern edge. Leather Craftsmen is my wedding album company as they have the quality and service my clients expect and demand. I personally do the layouts for all my clients and work with them closely to provide a wedding album that is uniquely theirs. 
As some of you may know I usually take a winter hiatus to Hawaii. It’s a time of renewal for me; to get far, far away from everything I know. This year I did some really different. I stayed in Kailua and hardly took any photographs. I like to stay just long enough to get homesick and to really miss my work as a wedding photographer. I think I was very successful. I could not wait to get home this week and start working on some beautiful wedding albums fand I am really looking forward to my weddings that start in the spring. Aloha everyone. It’s good to be home.

There is something so special and romantic about being married in the backyard you grew up in. I’m happy the editors of New Jersey Bride Magazine agreed with me.

I just love the stunning cocktail hour location at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Philadelphia. The space, the lighting and, of course, the balcony for me to photograph it all. The decor by Eventine Design was stunning as always and Kristen and Ben even had an artist capture the beautiful room in an oil painting. I also loved their “twinkie” cake! Happy life Kristen and Ben!
