Even though it was early April, winter has not wanted to loosen it’s grip on the Northeast! I thought things would be different in North Carolina. Well, it was certainly better than New Jersey as we had some dogwood trees blossoming, but still only little buds were on the trees. On the way to the reception I was so fortunate to find an amazing rustic barn on the side of the road with a beautiful field of golden grass and the most charming country road! The perfect country look for this country couple!

I first met Ashley around 7 years ago, when she was just a teen and building her professional modeling portfolio. Ashley went on to have a successful international modeling career and several years ago she even met the love of her life, James! Well, she was just thrilled when he proposed marriage and I was delighted to photograph her wedding! Did I forget to mention that Ashley is a 2 time cancer survivor? Yes, she is my hero, as are all those who fight the courageous battle. James has been by her side during her fight and what a wonderful celebration hope and a future it was. Some of you may recognize Ashley from this years premier episode of “Say Yes to the Dress“. Her entire family helped her choose her perfect gown at Kleinfelds in New York City.
