Shayna’s One Atlantic Bat Mitzvah Celebration

Sweet as sugar and pretty in pink was Shayna as she arrived on the boardwalk in Atlantic City for her big party at One Atlantic. The party just had one spectacular and fashionable “happening” after another under the direction of Kristin Barse of Bel Momento Weddings & Special Events. So much fun, what would such a fashionable event be without Joan Rivers (impersonated by Holly Faris) to provide fashion critiques for everyone. I don’t think she cared for my “photographer in black” look. A highlight of the evening was a visit from 2 of Shanya’s favorite soap opera stars. Shayna is a total fan of long running General Hospital and especially the characters Jason and Spinelli. Well check out the look on her face when actors Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson arrived to join the party and wish her a very happy birthday. I just loved it. I wish my mom invited Jim Morrison to my sweet 16 party. (OK, I’m dating myself). Anyway, what a great party it was!

Everything was pretty in pink for a fashionable trip around the world at Shayna’s Bat Mitzvah party at the always stellar One Atlantic. Event planner Kristin Barse of Bel Momento Weddings & Special Events did the most amazing job bringing Shayna and her families vision to life. Such an amazing job I need one post just for the details. The ever so talented Donna O’Brien of Beautiful Blooms took us for a trip around the world with her beautiful florals and table decor inspired by many of the glorious romantic cities of the world, such as Paris, Milan and Rio! Dave Williams of Cinemacake did the most amazing movie that was shown at the party. It was Shayna’s fashion adventure around the world. He actually when down to Epcot to film it. Hopefully he put’s it up on his website. As many of you know I travel with my grandson around the world every summer. I could have just taken him to Epcot. Who know? Stay tuned for an amazing party!

Shayna’s Bat Mitzvah at Beth-Israel Congregation

So proud were Shayna’s parents on the rehearsal of her Bat Mitzvah at Beth-Israel Congregation in Vineland, NJ. Event planner Kristin Barse of Bel Momento Weddings & Special Events planned a very special rehearsal dinner for family at the Congregation and wait until you see the very special party planned for family and friends at One Atlantic in Atlantic City to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah. Post Wedding Portraits of Maria + Brendan – 11.10.12

With a very opulent wedding like Maria and Brendan’s there was little time for portraits on their wedding day. Maria had the forethought to arrange for a portrait shoot after her wedding day. Several weeks after their wedding we returned to the ballroom of the Academy of Music for their portraits. it was so relaxed and we had a wonderful time. Maria was able to don a new hairdo and Brendan changed his tux also. What a wonderful portrait session!

Academy of Music Wedding of Maria + Brendan – 11.10.12

I could probably write a shot novella about all the many special details of the wedding of Maria Papadakis and Brendan Kent but hopefully the pictures can tell the story. Their one of a kind wedding was held at The Academy of Music in Philadelphia, the oldest opera house and concert hall in the United States. The Chandelier was lowered as it hung over the orchestra section of the theater. It took a week to floor over the orchestra seating to make room for the seating for over 500 guests! Event planner Karen Homer of HKH Innovations did such a magnificent job putting this “mega” wedding together. Such a gorgeous event. Brian Kappra of Evantine Design elegantly designed all the flowers and decor for the event. It totally fit the opulence of the Academy of Music. I cannot wait to see the video of this wedding by Dave Williams of Cinemacake. The wedding had everything from fun filled Greek dancing to opera singing arias! A sweet little touch was the piano music box that all her guests received as parting gifts, keeping with the musical theme of their wedding day. After the event the couple departed back to the Hyatt at the Bellevue for some romantic Philadelphia skyline portraits.
