Philadelphia Wedding Preperations of Katie + Breen – 10.15.11

Glowing through the beautiful afternoon sunlight at the Sofitel in Philadelphia was Katie’s perfectly ethereal Vera Wang gown and Katie perfectly paired them with a delicate pair of Vera Wang bridal shoes. The groom and his groomsmen also prepared at the hotel and they all walked together St.John the Evangelist Church. What a fun group they were., they had my second photographer Jill in stitches. Breen, an architect, struck struck a very architectural pose in front of City Hall and they also stopped by Occupy Philly to say hello to the occupiers! Katie’s preparations were much more elegant. I especially loved the pin. There is a tradition with Katie’s college sorority that whenever a sister gets married they wear the pin. Today was Katie’s turn and her sorority sisters all helped pin it on her dress.  Check out that beaming smile on Katie’s in the last picture. It turns out that her limo that was supposed to take her to the church was stuck in a traffic jam in New Jersey. It did not bother this bride at all. We all hailed cab and got this bride married! She was all smiles as she was on her way to marry Breen!

One Atlantic Wedding Reception of Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

With some of Philadelphia’s top vendors at the helm, I knew it was going to be an evening to remember.  Beautiful Blooms did an amazing job with the flowers and decor and the room was just electric with the sounds of the fantastic band Jellyroll.  The adorable Ferris wheel cake was by The Cake Studio. As I blogged earlier, Dave Williams and his crew at CinemaCake did real amazing  job recreating a scene from the movie Goodfellas earlier in the day.  It was to be used for Janine and Justins grand entrance. It really was just a fun treat for their guests. I embedded a copy in this post. Enjoy!

One Atlantic Wedding Ceremony of Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

Janine and Justin’s traditional Jewish wedding ceremony took place in the glass surround ballroom of One Atlantic. It began with a very fun and festive Tisch and Bedeken. Their chuppah was so unique as it was suspended from the ceiling! As the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean this happy couple exchanged their vows.

Under the Boardwalk with Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

As a lifelong “Jersey Girl” nothing is more romantic to me than a walk along the Jersey shore and a few stolen kisses “under the boardwalk”.  Though it was an October day it felt like summer as we strolled with Janine and Justin and their very fun bridal party. What would a wedding in Atlantic City be without a visit to the world famous Steel Pier. True kids at heart, the couple  enjoy some games on the boardwalk,  shared cotton candy and shared some romantic times under the boardwalk before their ceremony and reception at the beautiful One Atlantic

Atlantic City Wedding of Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

What beautiful October day for a destination wedding, and Atlantic City was the destination! It was warm and sunny like a day in early June and there was no better place to be than the boardwalk in  Atlantic City.  Justin and Janine’s pretty invitation with a letterpress map of AC was  designed by Yes I Do! of Jersey City.  Janines hair and makeup was beautifully done by Bellezza salon at Caesars and her perfectly fitted Matthew Christopher Gown was from Castle Couture. There was so much bling Janine could not decide what pair of earrings to wear. The couple met ahead of time in the famous boardwalk of Atlantic City, right in front of one of my favorite shops It’Sugar! How sweet! Justin had a sweet treat waiting for her. They then began a very fun “mini movie” session with Dave Williams and his crew from Cinema Cake. I’m not going to spoil the surprise but they recreated a scene from a very famous movie to share with their guests. It was great fun watching the cinematographers at work! I’ll share it with you later this week!
