Oheka Castle Wedding Ceremony of Elethea + Mario – 08.30.11

Red and pinks were the color pallet for the beautiful mid-summers afternoon wedding. It was great working with Betty’s Total Events again.   The Library at Oheka Castle was decorated in such a classic and elegant fashion for their ceremony. A classic bride, Elethea did not forget a bouquet toss. Check out the great bouquet “catch” captured by my second shooter Rita. Great shot!

Oheka Castle Wedding of Elethea + Mario – 8.30.11

Elethea and Mario did not let Hurricane Irene put a damper on their wedding.  Because all the transportation on NYC and Long Island were suspended due to the storm their wedding day had to be postponed. The couple rescheduled their wedding for the Tuesday after and it was a perfect blue sky wedding day…. a VERY BLUE SKY DAY! The wedding took place at Oheka Castle, which is one of the most stunning venues in Long Island, NY. It’s been many years since I’ve photographed a wedding at Oheka and I was just so excited to be back. Elethea and Mario both prepared at the Castle. The bride wore a most flattering gown by Jim Hjelm which she purchased at Kleinfelds NYC!  The couple walked the grounds prior to their ceremony for some romantic portraits. Check back for a gorgeous ceremony and reception!

Heidi + Keith’s Stylized Engagement Portraits

Heidi had a vision for her engagement portraits. She had a vision of Sophia Loren in a Fellini film with a little Madmen thrown in! Well, I think we captured some very sensual portraits that definitely evoke the feeling of those times. Heidi and Keith were one of my “Hurricane Irene” couples. They were supposed to be married that weekend but all the state parks in NJ were closed so their wedding had to be postponed. The couple are now looking forward to their beautiful autumn wedding later this month!

Adventure Aquarium Wedding of Stacy + Mike – 08.20.11

Prior to their wedding ceremony at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ,  Stacy and Mike met for some romantic portraits on the promenade facing the Philadelphia skyline.  Wedding planner Isis Petrie of Posh Events was on hand to assure the fabulous event went off smoothly. It was a pleasure working with her for the first time. Phyllis of Eventricity created all the beautiful flowers and decor from the lovely chuppah, the bouquets and the amazing reception decor. During the reception our couple stole away for a quick nighttime portrait with the lights of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Beautiful!
