Well, as beautiful as Kate and Teds wedding was, a bit of rain did fall, but luckily Lynda Barness of I Do Wedding Consulting had the perfect umbrellas on hand. We went on to the rooftop of the Franklin Institute for the iconic Philadelphia skyline portrait and we finished with a very “heart” warming p0rtrait in front of the giant heart at the Franklin Institute. Cardiology is an important aspect of Ten and Kate’s life, which was one of the reasons they chose to have their wedding there! I never tire of the ballroom at the Franklin Institute. They wanted a romantic rain forest and they got exactly what they wished for. After some portraits at the Rodin Museum we were off to the Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park. Their ceremony was originally supposed to be outdoors in the park, but because of all the rain it was moved into the lush greenhouse of the Horticulture Center. I think it was a perfect setting! Kates vision for her wedding day was a romantic rain forest which is why she chose the beautiful Horticulture Center. She had birds of paradise, she had orchids, and yes, she had rain. It rained the entire day in fact, just like a rain forest. It was very romantic though. We found some very creative places to do portraits in the city of Philadelphia. We went inside city hall where it was totally dry and then the Rodin Museum where there was a roof over the pillars. It was kind of fun. Check out Kates Sarah Jessica Parker shoes, she actually had Sarah sign the box. How cute. There are so many priceless stories about this wedding I could go on and one. The cutest one though was how they met. They met on vacation in Las Vegas. Yes, this was one love affair that did not stay in Vegas! Liam, who has the most charming British accent introduced himself as James Bond! He even tried to carry out the charade all evening. I love this story.
