Skylands Manor Wedding of Heidi + Keith – 10.28.11
Well, the day finally arrived for Heidi and Keith’s Skylands Manor wedding. Their wedding was originally set for August 27, 2011 but due to hurricane Irene her wedding was postponed. Skylands Manor is located in the New Jersey State Botanical Garden which is a state park and the Governor closed parks with the impending hurricane! I know Heidi was heartbroken at the time, but I really don’t think she could have walked the beautiful gardens with Irene on it’s way. The couple were blessed with an absolutely perfect wedding day. A perfect blue sky day and definitely worth the wait. I think my heart skipped a beat when I arrived and saw her fluffy floral Christos gown hanging in the bridal suite. It was a work of art and paired with her Badgley Mischka shoes. She even had them add more fluff! I loved it! After her family helped her prepare she was off to see Keith waiting for her in the gardens. Wait until you see the gardens!
Natirar Wedding of Christen + Robert – 10.21.11
I was so excited to finally be doing a wedding at the Natirar, one of New Jerseys newer wedding locations. Set in the beautiful hills of in Peapack-Gladstone. Christen prepared for her day at her family home. It turns out that her little niece has a shoe obsession. (I guess it’s never too early to start.) When they said it’s time to put on Christens shoes she ran for the box and enjoyed so much assisting putting them on. The could were wed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood, NJ and then were greated by the most amazing fall foliage at Natirar!
Happy New Year!
It’s almost 2012 and I have not even finished blogging about all my 2011 weddings yet! Yikes! What a wonderful year 2011 was. So many beautiful weddings and so many loving couples. I want to thank you all for choosing me to photograph your day. I though I’d put a little collage together of most of them (sans the camera shy). It looks like I have an equally wonderful 2012 shaping up! Wishing health and happiness to all in 2012. Happy New Year everyone!
