Such a perfect venue for a Summer wedding, Bonnet Island Estate in Long Beach Island, NJ. This pair met while undergrads at Princeton University. I think this a first for me, Princeton alum not being wed in Princeton Chapel. I think they just fell in love with this beautiful seashore estate! Julianne work a perfect beachy gown by Junko Yoshioka paired with wedding shoes by Something Bleu. Julies beautiful makeup was by Angela Reece and her classic hairdo was by Aqua Bleu Salon. The couple had their “first look” in the boat house on Bonnet Island where their ceremony will take place later in the day. The beautiful bouquets and boutineers were by Michelle of MDS Floral. It’s always a pleasure with with her. More to come later!
Alix + John’s University of Pennsylvania Engagement Portraits
Alix and John will be married next May in Italy and I will NOT be their photographer! Unfortunately I was already commissioned to photograph a wedding on their date. The couple wanted their engagement portraits taken on the campus of The University of Pennsylvania, the place where their love began! It was my first time on the campus and what a beautiful place it was. You could feel the essence of Ben Franklin, it’s founder, everywhere. I’m not sure if it’s an “IVY” thing but the squirrels were amazingly friendly. I thought that Princeton had cornered the market on friendly squirrels. I wonder if a study has been done? Congratulations Alix and John!
Four Seasons Wedding Reception of Sandy + Maron – 08.04.12
One of Sandy and Marons passions is reading so their guests received LOVE bookmarks as place cards. The place card table was set up with some of the couples books and arranged with candles and flowers by TableArt. Their guest sign-in book was of historic Philadelphia, the city they love! Four Seasons catering manager Eric Allen kept the party (and food) flowing seamlessly from cocktails to reception. Check out the gorgeous ballroom by TableArt! And what a party it was! To the music of EBE’s Dreamtime Dance Band everyone just danced and danced the night away! Traditional brides, Sandy and Maron cut their cake by Bredenbeck’s Bakery and tossed the bouquet for all the single ladies… and gents!
Four Seasons Wedding Ceremony of Sandy + Maron – 08.04.12
Sandy and Marons wedding ceremony was originally planned for the courtyard of the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia but with the August temperatures soaring the couple felt that it was best for the comfort of all involved to move the ceremony indoors. I LOVE my outdoor ceremonies so I must admit I was disappointed until I saw how truly beautiful TableArt have transformed the ballroom of the Four Seasons. In hues of purple and “candlelight” the couple exchanged their heartfelt vows and joyfully walked up the aisle as Mrs and Mrs to “We Are the Champions“. The perfect lighting was by Eventions Productions. In less than an hour TableArt transformed the ballroom into a most fabulous reception. I’ll be sharing more later this week.
Four Seasons Wedding Portraits of Sandy + Maron – 08.04.12
Prior to their ceremony we had planned to take a walk around the Franklin Parkway but 90 degree + temperatures cut our walk a little short. The temps were much cooler in the shade of the Four Seasons courtyard.
