Guten Tag from Germany

Zac and I have been having the most amazing time on out German road trip. After a 2 day recovery from intense jet lag (see the image below) we have been so busy I have found no time to blog. We have climbed so many mountains and Castles I feel like Maria von Trapp. So many interesting things to see including  French war bunkers and space aliens.  I promised Zacs mom and dad I would blog once before I return home. I promise to share much, much more later in the year. Once I share all the many beautiful weddings I have been photographing this year! Auf Weidersehen!

Marie & Zac’s European Adventure – The German Road Trip

Well, if it’s August it must be time for another chapter of our “Grand Tour” of Europe! Our many adventures have made my grandson Zac a true Europhile and a budding linguist.  He fell in love with Berlin when we visited last year and he started studying the German language via Rosetta Stone.  He wants to test out his new found skills on a road trip of Germany. We start our trip in the heart of Bavaria and will be traveling to many historic locations including Luxembourg. As always, I’m going to try to do a little bloging. Do you think there is WiFi at the beer-gardens? Either way I promise to share some wonderful images for you all when I return! Auf wiedersehen!

Beautiful Burgundy Wedding Bouquet for a Summer Day

Whenever Donna O’Brien of Beautiful Blooms Events calls me to photograph a bouquet I’m always right there.  I joined her at Barley Shear Farms near New Hope, PA for a quick little editorial featuring this totally unique burgundy bouquet (not to mention the matching boutonnière). What a magnificent location. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to photograph a wedding there someday.  We were so fortunate to have the talented Beke Beau on hand for our models makeup and the beautiful Lazaro gown was provided by Exquisite Bride of Princeton, NJ. They has such a fabulous selection of gowns it was very hard to choose.  I photographed the editorial in film and digital. Can you tell the first two are film images? I keep working on my film and figuring out how to use it in my work. It’s a different yet ever bit as beautiful look. I am in love with my Contax 645!

Engagement Portraits – Some things to come!

It’s been a very busy wedding season. I have been trying hard to keep up with my wedding blogging! I have so many beauties to share with you. In the middle of everything I’ve also been photographing engagement portraits of my future wedding couples. I thought I’d share a few with you. Morgan and Brian are both Princeton alumni and they met and started dating in their undergraduate years! There was no better place they could think of for their engagement portraits than the campus of Princeton University. The couple will return to Princeton next June for their wedding ceremony at Princeton Chapel followed by a reception at Rats on the Ground for Sculpture. Amy and Robert are also college sweethearts! They met while attending Lafayette College in Easton, PA. Easton might have been a bit of a drive so they chose to have their engagement portraits with a college feel on the campus of Princeton University. Amy and Robert will be married this September at The Downtown Club in Philadelphia, PA. Stacy and Mike will be married VERY soon, but they still found time for an engagement portrait session at The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Their wedding will take place in several weeks at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. I just can’t wait! I am so looking forward to the many creative photo opportunities of a wedding in a beautiful aquarium.

Jennifer + Damians Wedding Reception at Rats on The Grounds for Sculpture – 06.18.11

I had such fun photographing the wedding portraits of Jennifer and Damian at the Ground for Sculpture.  Jennifer wanted romantic portraits among the lush landscape and Damian wanted some fun with the very playful sculptures around the grounds. They were a perfect match. Their reception was held at Rats Restaurant, a Stephan Starr venue, and as you can see from the images it is just magic. Monday Morning Flowers of Princeton provided the sweet flowers and wedding planners, My Bellissima added many sweet touches.  I was so happy to be back at Rats on of the most beautiful wedding locations in New Jersey!
