Princeton Wedding of Jennifer + Damian – 06.18.11

I know everyone is waiting for more of Jennifer and Damian’s fabulous wedding portraits at the Grounds  for Sculpture, but we have to get this couple married first. Jennifer and Damian prepared for their day at the historic Nassau Inn in Princeton, NJ. Everyone was so busy making sure Jennifer looked perfect on her day. Also on hand were wedding coordinators,  Laura and Kara of My Bellissima. It was my first time working with them and they kept the day running so very smoothly!  The couple were married at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Princeton. I love the image that my second photographer Jill took of Jennifer glowing in the limo on the way to the church! The warm summer weather has had many of my brides glowing, and it can be very lovely! The couple was just so happy. They could now shop smiling all through their ceremony. Happy couple… happy life. Check back tomorrow for more from the Grounds for Sculpture and Rats Restaurant! More Film Wedding Photography

I thought I would share with you a few portrait images from Jennifer and Damian’s wedding that I recently at The Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ.  The grounds are always magic, so I wanted to add a little more magic by shooting some of the portraits with film. I am sort of relearning everything I once knew about film, and my treasured Contax 645.  Film can really open up the shadows and adds such a lushness to my images. I hope to be adding more and more film to my portraits over the coming year! I’ll be sharing all the digital images from Jennifer and Damian’s wedding next. It’s a beauty!

Peony Wedding Inspiration

Last month I had the most delightful evening visiting a magical farm in New Jersey. Peony’s Envy is located in Bernardsville, NJ  and Kathleen Gagan, its owner, has transformed the woods around her home into peonies magic.  Thousands of peony are planted in the forest surrounding her home and in late spring they all come into bloom.  The farm is available for weddings so I’m hoping someday someone will call me for a wedding there. Sweet!  Kathy Warden of Table Art designed all the peonies inspired decor and flowers. I was in peony heaven, as it’s my all time favorite flower. Our beautiful model bride wore a Claire Pettibone gown from Nicole Bridals and our model groom looked so handsome in a Seersucker  jacket! Pink Cake Box, one of my favorite “cake artists” provided the beautiful peony inspired cake.  Claudia Seyler was on hand to do our models fabulous makeup and hair. What an amazing team at an amazing location. Well, I hope this inspires someone to get married in a peony field, and if you do, I hope you have me photograph it!

Meghan + Peter Featured in Philadelphia Wedding Magazine

Well, this is a first for me. Some of you may have noticed that I currently have the beautiful wedding of Aimee and Justin featured in the current issue of The Knot Pennsylvania.  Well, Aimee happens to be the sister of Peter whose charming wedding is currently featured in the current issue of Philadelphia Wedding. With nearly 100 weddings featured in magazines I have never had siblings featured concurrently in different wedding magazines.  And though I have done many sibling weddings over the years I have never had both of them featured in magazines. I guess with a Ramona Keveza gown from Kleinfeld Bridal , bouquets by Beautiful Blooms and exquisite styling by Beka Rendell of Styled Creative it was a must see. My only regret is that there are not any more single siblings in this family! Congratulations Meghan and Peter!

Philadelphia Country Club Wedding of Catherine + David – 06.11.11

After their beautiful ceremony we returned to Catherine’s parents backyard for some family portraits. What a perfect location. We them proceeded to the Philadelphia Country Club for a very grand reception. It was my first time at the Country Club and it really was stunning, especially with the flowers and decor my Nancy Saam Flowers.  We took a walk on the gold course and did not have to dodge any golf balls. It was just a lovely setting. Congratulations to Catherine and David on my first birthday wedding!
